Another one of our super quick courses on the outskirts of Wrexham towards the rural border with Cheshire. This race is staged in memory of former Wrexham AAC member Helena Tipping and since 2019 has been the home of the North Wales 10k road running championships. With a new and even faster course for 2020 this race is set to become a must do for all runners chasing a 10k pb. Due to the increased popularity of this race we will be improving the 2020 event with a road closure.
There is plenty of free parking nearby as well as a key drop at Race HQ.
There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd open male and female (£100, £50 & £25). Prizes for 1st place in Vet Categories and team prize for 1st Male and Female Teams.
There will be a drink station at the 5km point with plenty of food, refreshments and goodies at the finish line as well as the special edition bespoke medal. Entrants must be 15 and over on race day.
Early bird entry cost is £14.00 for UKA Affiliated Runners and £16.00 for non-UKA affiliated runners until midnight on 1st September 2019 when the price will be £16.00 and £18.00.
As this is a UKA affiliated race and we do not have a full road closure the wearing of head phones is not allowed except for bone-conducting headphones such as Aftershokz.
The transfer facility will close on Friday 24th July at 23.55 and there will be no facility to transfer entries on the day. The race has a cut off time of 1 hour 30 mins.
Race numbers are to be collected on race day and race instructions will be emailed approximately 10 days before the race.
Full list of road closure details available on this link in the weeks building up to the race.
Each runner will be issued with a race number with a disposable timing chip on race day.
This system is user friendly. The disposable system allows runners to have more flexibility at the finish line, since the removal of the chip is not required.
If you are using the single use chip, please ensure the following to receive an accurate time:
Please note: The race number allocated to you is for use by you only. Please do not pass on the race number unless you have completed the online transfer. The transfer entry closing date is on your confirmation email.
Due to health and safety reasons, runners are not able to take part in the race while pushing a buggy.

Full details of parking will be included in race instructions sent normally around 10 days prior to the race.
