runHelena Tipping Wrexham 10k

We are proud to bring you the 33rd edition of the Helena Tipping Wrexham 10K.  The new course will start at the brand new Net World Sports site on Bryn Lane Wrexham LL13 9UT.  The race is just over 1.5 very quick laps of the shorter loop of our Village Bakery Wrexham Half and will finish at Isycoed Community Centre.  Runners will then be guided by signs back to the start area and Race HQ.  This race is in memory of Wrexham AAC member Helena Tipping.

There is plenty of free parking nearby as well as a key drop at Race HQ.

There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd open male and female (£500, £300 & £200).  Prizes for 1st place in Vet Categories and team prize for 1st Male and Female Teams.

There will be a drink station at the 5km point with plenty of food, refreshments and goodies at the finish line as well as the special edition bespoke medal. Entrants must be 15 and over on race day.

As this is a UKA affiliated race and we do not have a full road closure the wearing of head phones is not allowed except for bone-conducting headphones such as Aftershokz.

The race has a cut off time of 1 hour 30 mins.

Race numbers are to be collected on race day and race instructions will be emailed approximately 10 days before the race.

Full list of road closure details available on this link in the weeks building up to the race.

Each runner will be issued with a race number with a disposable timing chip on race day.

This system is user friendly. The disposable system allows runners to have more flexibility at the finish line, since the removal of the chip is not required.

If you are using the single use chip, please ensure the following to receive an accurate time:

  • Race bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Race bib is unaltered and unmodified
  • Race bib is pinned in all four corners
  • Race bib is not covered (jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc.)

Please note: The race number allocated to you is for use by you only. Please do not pass on the race number unless you have completed the online transfer.  The transfer entry closing date is on your confirmation email.

Due to health and safety reasons, runners are not able to take part in the race while pushing a buggy.

No.  The race is a UK Athletics affiliated race and therefore dogs are not permitted.

Refunds are not available for the race but participants are able to transfer their space to someone else up until the closing date specified on the conformation email.  We do not allow deferrals to another race or to the same race the following year.

Full details of parking will be included in race instructions sent normally around 10 days prior to the race.

Toilets will be available on race day at Race HQ and close to the start line.

There are no changing or shower facilities.
