After five wonderful years of being the oddly named Cute Fruit Events we felt it was time for a bit of a makeover.

We wanted our new name and brand to tell everyone exactly who we are and what we do. We were founded in Cheshire, most of our races are in Cheshire but we wanted a huge Welsh nod to our fantastic North Walian races and more importantly our Welsh supporters.

After noticing that one of our favourite local races had disappeared from the race calendar we contacted the organisers of the Farndon 10k.

With the blessing and help of Wrexham AAC we brought the race back in October 2014 and sold out the 500 places in just 4 weeks prior to the race.

We then became involved in the Village Bakery Wrexham Half Marathon, a race that had endured a chequered reputation but now boasts a sell out 3000 race limit and is one of the fastest and most popular half marathons in the region. At the same time we inherited the Helena Tipping Wrexham 10k. A super-quick race ran in memory of the Wrexham AAc member of the same name.

We then created the Mid Cheshire 5k in Kingsley and from a standing start it has become one of the fastest 5ks in the country and is regularly the home of the England Athletics 5k road championships and attracts elite, international athletes from around country. This race always sells out early as we are limited by our parking.

Around the same time we created and cemented into the race calender the Colshaw Hall 10k on the outskirts of Knutsford in Cheshire. Quite simply the most picturesque venue and course in the region and regularly sells out at 1500 runners.

Finally we were asked to take on the Sandstone Trail race in 2017.

Trail races are something a bit different for us but as runners ourselves we could not allow a race that had existed for 40 years to disappear despite the logistical problems a 17 and 10 mile combined point to point race provides us with.

What does the future hold? We have two new races almost ready to be launched as well as another mass participation big city event outside of our usual area for 2020.

Our real niche is staging classic, traditional road race events but with all the modern touches. Our races are accurately measured, approved and insured by UK Athletics, clearly signed, well marshalled safe and enjoyable for everyone.

On top of this we have the most up to date integrated chip-timing, tracking, social media coverage, drone footage, live-streaming and pyrotechnics. We cater for and welcome the very highest performing international elite athletes and the recently started couch to 5k runners.
