AmazingCharities

From the beginning we have worked with Mid-Cheshire Riding for the Disabled, Hope House Hospice, Nightingale House, The Brain Tumour Charity and Retrak and together we have helped raise tens of thousands of pounds for these amazing charities.

If you are involved in a local charity then please contact us to see how you can get involved and how we can work together to raise funds.

Youth & CommunityGroups

We love working with some of the amazing local groups in the regions such as Chester Sea Cadets, Berwyn 1251 Air Cadets and The Vale Royal Lions Club.

We are extremely lucky to work with some of the most enthusiastic people we could hope for to make the runners experience unforgettable.

We are always keen to hear from any youth and community groups that wish to get involved.

Make aDifference

Our amazing road and trail races could not happen without our wonderful volunteers!

So far this year there have been around 500 volunteers helping us. If you would like to get involved but are not a part of a group then here is how…marshal one, get one free. Marshal at one of our races, run one for free within 12 months.

As soon as you have completed your volunteering with us we will send you the free entry code of your choice for one of our other amazing races.

BE A VOLUNTEER

You don’t have to be a runner to enjoy our great events.

Contact us to help on race day. All volunteers receive a free entry into a future Run Cheshire Event or can nominate a family or friend to receive one on their behalf. You will need to be able to give between 2-3 hours on the day depending on where you are volunteering.

Race Headquarters:

The hub of race morning: Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to assist with race number collection and to answer any queries competitors have about the race itself. Volunteers are needed 90 minutes before the start of the race up until the gun goes off.

Drink Station Helpers:

Keeping the runners running: We need people to hand water to the participants as they pass with plenty of words of encouragement. Other duties involve setting up the aid station and ensuring any remaining bottles or cups are cleared away for collection after the race. Volunteers will be required from 30 minutes before the start of the race until the last participant has passed through.

Course Marshals:

Keeping the runners on track: Course marshals will help guide the runners safely along the race route. You will be required to be in place 15 minutes before the start of the race and to remain at your designation marshal point until your lead marshal advises it is safe for you to leave your position. Marshals should also be available to assist runners in difficulty during the race by alerting first aid to assist them.

Car Park Marshals:

Perfect for those who like a straight line: Before the race we require eager volunteers to assist with parking all competitors efficiently in the designated parking areas. This role is great for someone also looking to run the race as all duties should be finished around 15 minutes before the start of the event. You will need to be there 2 hours before the start time of the event.

Finish Line Volunteers:

Greet the runners as their complete their challenge: As competitors pass through the finish line you will be responsible for handing out their medals, goodies bags or water together with assisting anyone in need to first aid to the medical staff and ensuring a smooth transition of the competitors away from the finish area to their friends and family.
