The Shrewsbury 5k Festival is a series of graded fast 5k races at the cycle circuit at Shrewsbury Sports Village Sundorne Road Shrewsbury.

Just over 5 laps of this flat, sheltered and well maintained traffic free course which will produce quick results.
There will be three races depending on predicted finish times. You will be allocated your slot in race instructions which will be emailed a week before the race. Race numbers to be collected on the night
Cash prizes for the top 3 men and women.
Race staged under UK Athletics rules with minimum age of 11 on race day.

Each runner will be issued with a race number with a disposable timing chip on race day.
This system is user friendly. The disposable system allows runners to have more flexibility at the finish line, since the removal of the chip is not required.

Unfortunately, not. This is the first staging of this race so we are being overcautious. It is something we plan to look at for future races.
No. The race is a UK Athletics affiliated race and therefore dogs are not permitted.
Refunds are not available for the race but participants are able to transfer their space to someone else up until the closing date specified on the conformation email. We do not allow deferrals to another race or to the same race the following year.
There is plenty of very low cost parking in Northwich just a short walk from Race HQ.
Toilets will be available on race day at Race HQ.

Yes. A bag drop area can be found at Race HQ.
Yes. The race is affiliated to UK Athletics and as the course is fully closed to traffic it is permitted however please ensure the volume is low enough for you to hear instructions from marshals.
We are unable to accept wheelchair athletes at this stage due to the terrain.
